Bread Roll

By peashavepoints

The average roll is approx 2 points on WW. So I thought, I best weigh my bread bun’s i bought last night. Larger than the average bun, but still smaller than a ‘bap’ i thought, 3 points? 3.5 max?

I was horrified to discover it was 4.5points! So just goes to show, you may save points on fruit and veg which is actually less than the average… but it also shows you need to weigh common items regularly to ‘check’ the right points allowance. One of the benefits of being e-source, just put the weight of the bread roll and it tells you the points. I would find it hard to work out the points for the roll without the e-source or WW Scales.

It also is a sign of how ‘average’ portions aren’t average any more. My roll is definitely smaller than a 6” sub or bread roll from a sandwich shop/bap. So it isn’t a surprise we are an overweight generation is it? We eat twice as much as we should. This is my biggest problem – portion control rather than what I eat.
